Book Launch - 2017
When / Where: 18/07/17
Center Stage - Ganey Tikva
The date of the book launch coincided with the anniversary of my Aliya, 47 years before.
On this occasion, I launched two new books: ‘I Missed the Spring,’ a memoir, and ‘In the Midst of Eden, a bilingual book of poetry. (see Books)
We were happy to welcome a large crowd of friends and colleagues to Mercaz Habama to celebrate with us.

Special thanks to Toby Boni Shamir for her pieces on the guitar; to Susan Olsburg and David Benjamin for their kind words; to the friends who read poems from the new poetry book and to Cantor Estelle Kunof Epstein, who joined me in the finale, ‘The Seventh Day.’

Gil Levine was responsible for technical and artistic back-up.

Poetry by the Sea

When / Where: 19/05/16
King Solomon Hotel, Natanya

Dear All 'I am very much looking forward to our Poetry by the Sea workshop this Thursday and Friday.

You may wish to contribute an item with an Australian theme - a poem, anecdote, joke or song for our Thursday evening "Strewth!" event. If you feel everyone needs a photocopy, then approximately 20-25 copies will be needed
(Of course we shall sing Waltzing Matilda!).
There will be a .stall available for purchase of Voices Israel publications and if you have your own poetry books to sell that is fine but at your own responsibility for handling cash and protection of copies.
I am sure we will all have a great time.
Very best wishes
Susan

Voices Workshop at my home
27/07/2015 | 08:00-16:00

Dear Voices friends,
Firstly, thank you for all your kind words about our hospitality. The pleasure was mine. After writing, there is nothing I enjoy more than hosting a house full of friends. With the workshop, I got two for the price of one! As for Amazia's chauffeuring, I don't drive and he is always there for me for every errand so it is almost a second profession. We are happy that the Segula shuttle worked so well.

I want to give kudos and a big thanks to Kaila for hosting our workshop. You went above and beyond for us! You have a lovely, warm home and you were a very gracious hostess.
Thanks to all of you for welcoming a newbie and being so encouraging! I felt very relaxed as soon as I walked into the group. You are all lovely people and amazing poets!
Linda
One thank you for each of you two very welcoming , very charming host and hostess. And to you, Kaila, who greeted us with such joy and who made us feel so much at home.
Success of the day was due, in great part, to your poise and special qualities as hostess. Bless you and thank you both so much!, Love
Susan
